GMail a.k.a Google Mail is still in Beta even after 2.5 years in service. However the application is evolving continuously based on user feedback.
This is a snapshot of some of the suggestions that have already been implemented based on user feedback
You can suggest more features to the GMail team via this link. I voted on 2 features:
- Automatically apply new filters to old conversations
- Control whether people I send mail to are added to Contacts
If you have any other new feature to recommend which is not in the default list, you can always use the suggestion box !
I would like to see these 2 new features in GMail:
- Creating Filters (and optionally creating/setting label) is kind of pain in GMail. I should be able to select mails and drag them onto the label.
It should automatically create filters to those set of senders and also apply the label. In the current UI, applying label is easy, however the same is not true for creating a filter. - I would really like to see Google Reader integrated into GMail. Though it is now done via quirks like using Greasemonkey scripts, I would like to see a Reader widget sitting within GMail. I guess only a small percentage of regular GMail/Email checkers use RSS, and integration of Reader would definitely make the RSS/Syndication more popular !
What feature would you like to suggest ?
