Pingdom is a service which provides tools to monitor web sites, E-Mail Servers, FTP servers and a multitude of other services.
Though I didn’t find the service that useful, they do seem to have introduced a nice little tool (free) to check the page loading speed.

(Replace the “url” parameter with the URL of your site)
The Full Page Test loadsΓΒ the complete HTML page including all objects : images, CSS, JavaScripts, RSS, Flash and frames/iframes). It mimics the way a page is loaded in a web browser.
The load time of all objects is shown visually with time bars. It will help in finding the culprit script/image which is probably affecting the page load of your website.
Meanwhile Pingdom.com is linking to a red site according to Mcafee SiteAdvisor !!

Seems cool. I prefer web2wait.com (it doesn’t have advanced features like Pingdom, though)
Shankar, thanks for pointing the alternative. Is there a typo error in the link that you have given ? web2wait.com is not working.
Yeah, sorry for that. This is the right place: http://www.webwait.com/ π
Looks good. I’ll try it out. But I have heard about this Pingdom before.
Yes you might have read about them either in Techcrunch or in Paul Stamatiou’s site π
By the way subscribed to your RSS feed and your new theme does look impressive.
When it comes to free tools, this one looks worth my while. Thanks.
Angie, good to know that the tool was of some use π
